TITLE OF POSITION/RANK: Program Specialist/Assistant Director, Ossining Extension Center
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Ossining Extension Center
RESPONSIBILITIES: This full time position assists with the management of a large, facility-based extension center, which offers both liberal arts classes for college credit as well as non-credit programming for the community based on the center’s thematic focus. Responsibilities include program development, job development and developing and maintaining contacts with area employers, coordinating the provision of services to students, marketing, and community outreach. This position reports to the Director of the Ossining Extension Center. The Ossining Extension Center’s focus is on the life sciences and health care careers. Regular work hours: 11 am-7 pm M-F; weekend hours as necessary. Specific responsibilities include:
•Acts as on-site administrator in the absence of the center director.
•Coordinates, oversees and evaluates non-credit programming for the general public (adults, kids and teens), local business and industry, and other groups.
•Assists in community outreach efforts and marketing to credit and non-credit students.
•Assists with administration of registration systems, attendance, and grade reports.
•Assists with student registrations and associated financial reconciliation.
•Assists with the handling of facility related issues.
•Coordinates the provision of onsite student support services and ensures that students are informed about available services.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required plus 2 years of related experience, preferably in higher education or continuing education. A Master’s degree is preferred. Experience with MS Office Suite is required. Experience in the development and administration of health care programs is also required.

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $54,460 plus excellent benefits.
