Systems Analyst/Programmer II
The Information Technology department at the Kern Community College District (KCCD) is seeking a self-motivated Systems Analyst/Programmer II to help fulfill information Technology’s vision of being an integral partner in creating and delivering innovative and effective IT services to meet the needs of our 25,000 students and 1,500 employees. We are looking for someone who is results oriented, can identify key components of a problem and formulate solutions and has the ability to prioritize and complete tasks to deliver effective technology solutions within required time frames.
This position is responsible for the maintenance and integration of the Banner Finance modules and related systems. To be successful in this position, programming experience is necessary and you must be able to work collaboratively with functional users responsible for finance, accounting and purchasing. It will be necessary to acquire an understanding of their business processes and needs and translate that understanding into the effective use of technology.
The current environment consists of Ellucian’s Banner administrative software system, HP-UX, Redhat Linux, Oracle 11G RDBMS, Oracle Fusion Middleware 11G, PL/SQL, C, Java, Oracle Forms and Oracle Discoverer. On the horizon is Banner XE (Extensible Ecosystem) which will be built upon a more modern technology stack including Groovy and Grails.
