Assistant/Associate Professor of Exercise Science
East Stroudsburg University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position with the Department of Exercise Science beginning August 2013. The Exercise Science Department offers Bachelor of Science and two Master of Science degrees in Exercise Science. Positions typically fill at the Assistant Professor rank; however an appointment at the Associate Professor level is possible for candidates with exceptional qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have teaching responsibilities in the CAAHEP-accredited Undergraduate Exercise Science Program. Area of teaching emphasis will be in the area of Kinesiology. The standard workload for teaching faculty is 12 hours per term, with a maximum of three (different course) preparations.
Required Qualifications: A terminal degree in Exercise Science or related field is required. Candidates currently enrolled in a doctoral program are encouraged to apply, but they should make clear their progress toward completion. Completion of the Ph.D. is required by July 1, 2013.Finalist must successfully complete an on-campus interview, which includes both a teaching demonstration and a department interview.
