The Music Department at Colgate University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-stream Director of Choral and Vocal Activities, at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall semester 2013. Completion of D.M.A. or appropriate terminal degree is expected prior to, or shortly after, the date of hire. The director's duties include conducting the university choruses (currently including a mixed-voice choir, chamber singers, and a women's ensemble) and a half-time load of classroom teaching (2.5 courses a year). All Colgate faculty are expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
