City College in Gainesville is seeking an experienced Career Services Associate!
Position Summary
The Career Services Associate position is designed to assist the Career Services Department in meeting and exceeding established placement goals; the development of job openings for college graduates; assist students in developing the job search skills necessary to achieve employment in their chosen field of study; provide information and assistance to other departments regarding Career Services activities; and prepare reports for various College offices regarding the accomplishments of the Career Services Department.
Essential Responsibilities
Meet and exceed all personal metrics and goals assigned; including College quarterly and annual placement
goals, ACICS overall and programmatic annual placement goals, personal weekly placement goals and student satisfaction goals
Solicit job orders through personal contacts with employers, utilization of the internet and other job posting sources, and through contacts with professional placement agencies.
Establish working relationships with potential employers to acquaint them with the programs and services available.
Participate in New Student Orientation to advise new students of the programs and services available to them.
Assist students in the development of resume writing skills, job search techniques and arranging job interviews with prospective employers.
Assist in arranging and hosting on campus job fairs and professional development seminars for students and graduates. Establish a positive and engaging relationship with students through classroom visits and part time job assistance.
Assist in conducting Graduate Candidacy Seminar in conjunction with Financial Aid Department and one on one Exit interviews with all graduating students each quarter.
Establish communication lines with other departments within the College to assure a free flow of information between Career Services and the rest of the College.
Complete various reports as requested by the Director of Career Services, Executive Director and other members of the College staff.
Assist the Director of Education and Program Chairs with the planning and implementation of Program Advisory Committee meetings.
Assure that information in CampusVue related to Career Services is accurate and up to date.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Career Services and/or the Executive Director.
Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree or higher
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form

Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision\
Strong computer skills
