The Computer Science Department of the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor or Lecturer position starting fall 2013. SUNY Plattsburgh is a public liberal arts college with a total of approximately 100 majors in Computer Science and Information Technology.
Responsibilities include: Undergraduate teaching, undergraduate research supervision, student advisement and mentoring, and appropriate levels of research and service.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science, or a closely related field, from a regionally-accredited institution. ABD's will be considered for appointment at a lesser rank and salary.
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants with strengths in software engineering, game development, security and forensics, or networks will be highly regarded. We seek a candidate with the potential to become an excellent teacher, eventually covering a broad range of undergraduate courses, and who has the ability to excite students about research and applied projects.
