Job Description Summary:

The Research Associate will serve as the HIV Care Collaborative National Program Office Deputy Director/Research Associate Deputy.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters Degree in a health or social science related field and 1-3 years of work experience in HIV/AIDS research, program management, policy, legal analysis, or program evaluation.

Applicants must have demonstrated expertise in data management including use of spreadsheets, statistical packages, and statistical analysis.

Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including written communication of research results.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in managing project schedules, budgets, meeting logistics, and preparing study findings for journal articles is desirable.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Job Duties

  • Research Associate will have day-to-day administrative and fiscal responsibility for the Program Office. Establish a project budget, conduct monthly monitoring of project expenditures, prepare spending forecasts, and complete expenditure and other
    administrative Foundation reports.

  • Plan and handle logistics for Program Office meetings, conference calls, webinars, and other Collaborative events. Assist in assessing the TA needs of program sites and arrange for TA. Coordinate with GWU SPHHS Human Resources staff to identify and engage TA consultants. Design and manage a meeting schedule and handle meeting logistics

  • Assist the HIV Care Collaborate Director to establish and manage financial and other reporting mechanisms for monitoring performance, progress, and accomplishments of program sites. Assist the HIV Care Collaborative Director to prepare monthly updates on the program sites, and their progress in meeting goals, objectives, and milestones.

  • Serve as the data and reporting liaison with program sites, monitor quarterly client-level and other data to
    ensure timely, high quality data; prepare data quality reports to be submitted to program sites for follow-up; prepare tabular and graphic analyses for Collaborative reports, peer reviewed articles, presentations at professional meetings, and other deliverables;
    conduct statistical analyses; and contribute to Collaborative reports, peer reviewed articles, and other Collaborative deliverables. Prepare materials for posting on the Collaborative landing page.
