Job Description Summary:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferable in an academic setting, to include at least two years of experience with academic advising and program coordination.

Job Duties

  • PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
    Responsible for the effective oversight and delivery of the online MBA program.
    Effectively coordinates with other programs to share best practices and identify opportunities for program integration.

  • ACADEMIC OVERSIGHT
    Academic Advising
    Demonstrate expertise of all academic policies and procedures.
    Assist in the development of the MBA Resource Guide.
    Ensure all Online MBA advisors (Pearson/EMS) understand academic policies.
    Assist in the development of academic advising guidelines.
    Ensure consistent delivery of academic advising for Online MBA students.
    Accurately advise Online MBA students as outlined in the academic advising guidelines.
    Ensure communication and seamless coordination of academic advising guidelines with Pearson/EMS to ensure clear and consistent delivery of service to students.
    Escalate issues or exceptions to the Associate Dean as appropriate.
    Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend/implement solutions in academic advising.
    Course Scheduling
    Provide accurate forecast of courses that reflects program requirements and student demand and preferences for the Online MBA.
    Confirm that published course schedules for Online MBA are accurate. Report errors to the Executive Director and correct as instructed.
    Develop clear mechanisms for communicating course schedules to Online MBA students.
    Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend/implement solutions to the course schedule process and schedule.
    Registration
    Accurately respond to students questions regarding registration.
    Ensure communication of registration guidelines to EMS for Online MBA.
    Assist in the development of staff registration guidelines for Online MBA.
    Ensure adherence to registration guidelines for Online MBA.
    Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend/implement solutions for registration guidelines.
    Academic Calendar
    Assist in the creation of the academic calendar.
    Clearly communicate academic calendar to students in Online MBA.
    Faculty Coordination & Development
    Assist in the development of a cohesive faculty communication and development plan for the online MBA.
    Assist with the delivery of the faculty communication and development plan.

  • GRADUATION
    Graduation Clearance
    Assist in the development of graduation clearance guidelines.
    Ensure graduation clearance is completed for Online MBA students as outlined in the graduation clearance guidelines.
    Assist in the development of the graduation communication strategy for students.
    Commencement & Awards Ceremony
    Provide accurate information for the commencement book. Review and ensure published data is accurate for Online MBA.
    Assist with the commencement ceremony as needed.
    Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)
    Assist in the develop BGS guidelines to ensure accuracy in reporting and communication to students.
    Provide accurate student information for Online MBA as outlined in the BGS guidelines.
    Communicate BGS information to students in Online MBA.

  • PROGRAMMING
    On-boarding
    Assist in the development of an onboarding communication strategy for Online MBA.
    Assist in the effective execution of the Online MBA onboarding communication strategy.
    Assist in the development of a welcome website for incoming Online MBA students.
    Orientation
    Assist in the development of schedule and content for the Online MBA Orientation
    Manage the planning of all logistics for the Online MBA Orientation
    Manage the seamless and professional delivery of the Online MBA Orientation
    Effectively maintain budget for Online MBA Orientation
    Assist in the development of an Orientation evaluation instrument for Online MBA.
    Distribute and follow up on the Orientation evaluation to ensure at least 80% participation in the online MBA program.
    Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest/implement solutions for Orientation planning and delivery.
    Co-Curricular Activities
    Assist with the development of a suite of co-curricular activities including the online MBA-in-Action Discussion Roundtables, First Sundays monthly webinar program, 1+1 mentor program, and professional development mini-courses.
    Manage the seamless and professional delivery of all co-curricular activities.
    Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest/implement solutions for co-curricular activities.
    Community Building
    Identify and facilitate opportunities for new programs and initiatives that serve to enhance the student experience and better integrate with the school.

  • COORDINATION & COMMUNICATION
    Assist in the development of an effective student communication strategy for Online MBA.
    Manage the effective execution of the student communication strategy for Online MBA.
    Provide relevant information for Campus Groups for Online MBA. Ensure all published information is accurate.
    Understand and ensure effective communication of Campus Groups resources and instructions to Online MBA students.
    Identify opportunities to improve student communication.
    Provide relevant information for the website for Online MBA. Ensure all published information is accurate.
    Effectively liaise with Pearson and EMS to ensure seamless coordination of services.
    Effectively coordinate with other masters programs and GWSB departments to ensure

  • STUDENT SERVICES
    Assist in the development of a strategy to gather consistent and accurate student feedback regarding program quality in Online MBA.
    Manage the student component of the feedback strategy. Distribute and follow up to ensure at least 80% participation.
    Provide relevant information regarding student matriculation to ensure accurate student enrollment tracking for Online MBA.
    Ensure student records are available and well-maintained for Online MBA.
