The College of Arts and Sciences, General Education Program at National Louis University seeks a qualified professional to fill an adjunct teaching position for the following undergraduate course in Theatre Arts:
LAT302 Business Ethics in Popular Film
This course examines film dramatizations and documentary studies that relate the conduct of business to standards of ethical behavior. Films studied demonstrate dilemmas in starting and operating a business; fair play in human resources and labor relations; corporate power and accountability; treatment of whistle blowers; honesty in high finance and the stock market; and responsible professional conduct of lawyers, doctors and journalists. Students will build on class discussions to identify problems and identify solutions in these works, helping to clearly formulate and articulate their own values. This course may be used as an elective to fulfill the General Education requirement in fine arts or humanities. 5 quarter hours.
This course is offered on Wednesday from 5:30-9:30 PM at our Lisle campus, beginning January 9, 2013.
Master's degree with 30 additional credit hours in appropriate discipline is required. Earned terminal degree in Theatre Arts, Communication, or a related field is preferred. Highly qualified candidates will have experience teaching a diverse group of adults in face-to-face, online, and/or blended formats in a four-year college or university environment. Experience with the Desire 2 Learn (D2L) online course management system, and working in diverse P-12 schools is also highly desirable.
