The University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants for a full-time position as the Assistant Director in the Eagle Club.
This position’s main responsibility is to call potential customers for individual and group Southern Miss Athletics Eagle Club memberships and to increase the fan base and revenue streams. He/she also assists with the Student Eagle Club efforts to increase memberships and promote donations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Adheres to University and department policies, procedures and regulations
•Adheres to laws, bylaws, rules, policies, regulations and constitutional provisions of the federal government, state of Mississippi, IHL Board, The University of Southern Mississippi, NCAA, Conference USA or any other governing authority
•Creates and implements plans to make direct personal and cold calls to sell Eagle Club memberships and increase the fan base and revenue streams
•Assists in seeking Eagle Club and Athletic Foundation members and increasing annual fund giving under the direction of the Eagle Club executive director
•Stewards the seating, dues collection, parking of members of the Circle of Champions, Eagle Club membership charges; database management; lead generation from these major donors; provides sales force leads for sales or waiting list on premium seating; serves as point of contact for ADP businesses; responsible for coordination of ADP business sales (Eagle Club); attends all ADP functions and becomes an active member; attends all Athletics department sales meetings
•Assists with the coordination of all game day management and activities for football, basketball and baseball and meets with clients and develops new leads as assigned by the associate athletics director for the Eagle Club
•Assist in the distribution of Eagle Club-related marketing materials to businesses and individuals
•Provides weekly updates to executive director of the Eagle Club relating to Eagle Club memberships sold along with any customer service issues
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience and/or training
Master’s degree preferred

The position is based at the Hattiesburg campus.
