The STEM Bridge Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the coordination and administration of national team efforts to design an innovative new STEM bridge model as part of the U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant program. The STEM Bridge Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Director, English Language Learning and Adult Education to develop and lead a team comprised of AACC and partner college faculty and staff, industry and higher education partners to identify resources and national best practices that can be adapted to create an accelerated STEM Bridge to support learners in the five new credit STEM certificate programs. This STEM Bridge will be designed to bypass traditional developmental education by contextualizing remediation within the STEM certificate programs in order to accelerate learner program completion and entry into high demand STEM careers.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
A minimum of three years experience working in higher education, training, organizational development and/or a business environment required.
Demonstrated ability to work with various levels of business clients required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office: strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or higher in education, organizational development, human resources development, or business management preferred.
Experience with curriculum development and adult / developmental education preferred.
Experience managing continuing education and/or programs in a higher education environment preferred.
Knowledge of and ability to use Sharepoint and other collaborative software preferred.
