Position Title: Child Development Specialist (Req. #0608173)

Position Description: Child Development Center. Serve as lead teacher in an infant, toddler, and/or preschool classroom. Responsibilities include setting up the classroom environment; developing and implementing curriculum; providing positive guidance; establishing parent partnerships under Child Development Center guidelines, Georgia licensing regulations, and NAEYC accreditation standards; providing a nurturing, safe environment to facilitate the social, emotional, language, cognitive and physical development of all children assigned to the classroom; and supervising University students assigned to the classroom.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Child and Family Development or related field; one or more academic years of experience teaching in an early childhood classroom; effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Certified in pediatric first aid and CPR

Salary Range: Minimum $23,791 to Midpoint $29,726
