Job Description: The MSW faculty position is a 9-10 month appointment in an MSW program accredited by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) in 2011. Programs include full-time, part-time and advanced standing. Primary responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and service to the university and department.
Teaching may include foundation and concentration level courses. Two concentrations are available in the MSW program. The Community Practice and Partnerships concentration prepares students for community-based practice in local, national, and international contexts. The Clinical Practice with Individuals and Families concentration prepares students for clinically oriented practice in settings typically related to health and mental health.
We are currently seeking candidates specifically interested in teaching social welfare policy, diversity, micro-theory, and leadership courses, though other areas of interest will be considered.
Specialization: Social Welfare Policy, Diversity, Micro-Theory, and Leadership
Level: Assistant/Associate Professor
Qualifications: PhD, MSW required, ABD considered with progress verification by chair. Candidates must be able to communicate their Christian faith and how they ethically integrate faith in social work scholarship and practice.
Experience: Prior teaching, two years of social work practice, and scholarship experience preferred.
Workload: Nine or ten month contract dependent on candidate qualifications and research agenda.
