The Assistant Director for Engagement is a busy alumni affairs professional who leads and works on many different tasks in support of the office and over 26,000 alumni. He or she leads an office team to plan and execute campus reunions, including Alumni Weekend, Young Alumni Weekend/Homecoming, Five Star Festival, Athletic Hall of Fame, and occasional affinity reunions. Also oversees Kathekon, students we engage and train to be future alumni leaders. Handles other widely varied duties to support alumni chapters and events on and off campus, and tasks as assigned by the Associate Director and Executive Director of Alumni Affairs.
Bachelor’s Degree plus relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience from which relevant skills are acquired. Must have strong computer skills, including web- based skills, and significant experience with the Microsoft suite. Preference for experience with Raiser’s Edge database. Ideal candidate will be a self- starter with a strong attention to the all-important details of event planning, and who enjoys working as part of a team to identify and solve problems. Preference for at least 2 years work experience in the advancement field, particularly in a college or university setting.
