New York Institute of Technology seeks a Director of Development to manage and develop a significant portfolio of major gift prospects. Under the direction of the Vice President for Development, the selected candidate will be directly involved in the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major prospects.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience specifically in soliciting prospects required. Experience in higher education donor relations and stewardship preferred. Knowledge of Blackbaud/Raisers Edge also preferred. The selected candidate must possess exceptional management, leadership, and communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively with multiple constituencies. This position will be based in our Manhattan campus, but travel to the Old Westbury, LI campus will be required.
