1.Supervision and leadership
Responsible for the supervison, leadership, coaching, and mentoring of Online Instruction Staff.
Responsible for hiring, development of training, and recurrent training for Online Instruction Staff.
Mentors and assists Online Faculty members.
Responsible for conducting annual performance evaluations.
Responsible to meet with staff quarterly on their performances and status of objectives.
Oversee personal leave of staff.
Coordinate and collaborate with other entities and leadership.
Supervision, hiring, and training of student assistants.
Analyze operations to improve efficiencies and student services.
Maintain use of departmental databases and CRM.
Research and capture effective marketing and outreach efforts for new online faculty.
Provides guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices for all Online faculty.
2.Dispute Resolution
Resolves student issues with Online faculty.
Provide support to Centers and Center Students regarding online courses.
Handles all initial faculty issues and grievances and elevates these issues when necessary.
3.Strategic Planning
Responsible for the strategic planning of the Online Instruction team.
Substantial input into the overall targets of the department.
Ensures that faculty pools are at optimal levels for course offerings.
Analyzes current trends within the department as well as the University to accuratley identify areas of improvement, growth, and or success.
Works closing with others in the Department of Academic Affairs and Institutional Effectiveness in the acquisition of a robust, qualified pool of online adjunct faculty.
Collaborates with the Executive Director of Online Learning regarding Online Faculty resources and websites.
4.Reporting/Research
Responsible for Monthly and Yearly reporting on Online Faculty trends.
Accountable for Research into current faculty pools and the qualification of faculty utilized in the Department of Online Learning.
Ensures that 25 percent of faculty members degrees are doctoral per the University policy.
Performs other duties or special projects as delegated.
