Write sound, concise html code and scripting to support web content delivery for the university Internet. Reports to Director of Marketing and works collaboratively with the Internet Content Developer and the university Information Technology department to understand both communications efforts and technical requirements of the university to deliver a technically sound, dynamic and engaging Internet site.
Responsible for web site and page development and maintenance as they relate to the campus internet site and marketing objectives. Additional duties will include evaluation, recommendation and implementation of Internet technologies.
Identify major search engines and gain knowledge of their requirements to register the campus Internet site on an ongoing basis to improve accessibility to web site visitors.
Create and recommend electronic tracking mechanisms to gain valuable data on website visitors. Compile and report tracking results and make recommendations for web site enhancements.
Identify and recommend best electronic forms of communications (automated responses, email, social media, etc.) to get targeted messages to specific audiences.
Maintain web publishing standards.
