The Nursing Department is seeking a faculty member who is able to offer general nursing courses including theoretical and practicum courses; has a commitment to undergraduate education; has strong problem-solving skills; and is able to work with diverse populations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teaching courses such as Fundamentals in Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Maternal Child Nursing, Child and Adolescent Health Nursing, Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing;
• Participating in curriculum review, revision and development;
• Participating in academic advising;
• Engaging in research and scholarly activities;
• Serving on departmental, School and college-wide committees.
QUALIFICATIONS
• An earned doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution;
• Excellent tertiary-level teaching experience;
• Evidence of research and scholarship;
Candidates with a master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, a minimum of five years tertiary-level teaching experience and some professional experience will be considered.
A strong diverse clinical nursing background will be an asset.
Salary Grade:
Doctoral Degree: $42,160 - $71,410
Master's Degree: $37,660 - $63,310
