Configures and optimizes the Business Intelligence (BI) environment in collaboration with application developers, operation engineers and the analytics team. Develops and adheres to the design of technical standards and best practices for the BI environment. Facilitates collection and cleansing of data into the Data Warehouse via scheduled Extraction Transformation and Loading (ETL) jobs.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Extensive experience with SQL databases – especially MySQL – and familiarity with document-oriented, NoSQL and key-value data stores such as MongoDB, Riak and Redis
Expert-level skills in building ad-hoc, exploratory models and reports using software such as R, MATLAB, Sage or Maple from business planning, forecasting and decision support angles
Has collaborated with application development, operations and analytics teams to build out and support medium to large scale BI platform installations such as SAS or Pentaho
Strong command of Linux or Unix command line and comfortable in Windows environments
Experience with data mining and building SOAP/REST clients in Python, Ruby, Perl, or PHP
Demonstrated ability to build and troubleshoot complex ETL jobs in both Windows and Linux environments
Familiarity with the capabilities and operations behind IaaS services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Rackspace Cloud
Comfortable with Salesforce.com's IDE and associated REST and SOAP APIs

Can describe your involvement in a project that required using MapReduce (Hadoop or AWS Elastic MapReduce) on a large dataset
Can provide a GitHub profile with examples of some work you've done or a link to your Stack Overflow profile
You've built a distributed system that uses some form of queue management (AMQP, RabbitMQ, etc.) such as a web crawler
Can show us something you've built with Force.com or Database.com
