The Augusta State University College of Education invites nominations and applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Global/Multicultural Education. The position will begin in August 2013. Responsibilities include teaching courses in global education, multicultural education, social studies, TESOL, and research at the undergraduate and graduate level, supervising field experiences, conducting and guiding research, participating in the design of a Ph.D. degree, advising, and providing service to the College of Education, the university, the community, and the profession. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in Global Education, Multicultural Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Teaching and Learning (or a related field) with strong research methodology skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for outstanding scholarly achievement and research productivity, as well as potential for developing a national and/or international reputation in the discipline.

DEPARTMENT: The College of Education is accredited by NCATE, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities. The Department of Teacher Education offers undergraduate degrees in early childhood, middle grades, secondary, and P-12 education. Graduate degrees currently offered include the Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Education, and Educational Specialist degree.
