Kennesaw State University has an opening for Engineer II. This position will be responsible for management/coordination of the design and construction of new facilities and renovations at KSU. Responsibilities include development of capital project programs and project coordination from concept through planning preparation for bidding, construction inspection, and closeout.
This position is responsible for management and coordination of the engineering projects through the Facility Planning and Design Services department of the university. Mechanical Engineering experience preferred. The responsibilities in this area include having a broad based knowledge of all phases of commercial building design, construction, HVAC systems, and maintenance. General knowledge of state and local construction regulations and the ability to review and prepare construction documents is required. Must have proven record of managerial skills to coordinate the work of multiple professional firms, contractors, Plant Operations and Facility Planning and Design Services staff. Ability to coordinate and conduct campus review of design documents and specifications from an engineering perspective. Knowledge of the Georgia Board of Regents procedures, standards and principals is preferred.

Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering and 5+ years of professional/field exp; General knowledge of state and local construction regulations required.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of professional/field experience; P.E. Registration or able to obtain within 12 months of hiring; general knowledge of state and local construction regulations.
