Job Description
Subject to Available Funding
Entry level, full-time tenure track position in Chinese (Mandarin). Preference will be given to applicants with
broad range of interests. Native or near-native fluency. Responsibilities include teaching all levels of
undergraduate language, literature, and culture courses; student advisement; committee work; and program
building (the creation of courses appropriate to a major in Chinese with concentrations in language, culture and teaching). Research is expected.
Qualifications & Requirements
Ph.D. in Chinese. Demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and scholarship required. Evidence of capacity for program development and leadership required.
Anticipated Start Date September 2013
Salary Range Dependent upon qualifications.
