Associate Dean
The Graduate College at Ohio University invites applications for the position of Associate Dean.  The Associate Dean works with the Dean in defining the strategic direction of the college, and is responsible for oversight of the college’s day-to-day operations, including admissions, communications, student services, and professional development activities.  The Associate Dean works closely with graduate program directors, representatives of the academic colleges, and personnel from other campus offices in meeting the needs of the university’s 4,000 graduate students and advancing graduate education at the university.  The Associate Dean reports to the Dean as a full-time appointment, with supervisory responsibility for a staff of fifteen employees.
A successful candidate for the position will have strong interest and experience in the direction of graduate education, supervisory experience, and a record of scholarship and teaching consistent with a tenured faculty appointment in one of the university’s academic units.  Experience with on-line education is desirable.
