Position Summary:
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Transfusion Medicine Service is seeking a fulltime transfusion medicine physician (tenure or clinical track). Applicants should be committed to excellence in clinical services, teaching and research (in a field relevant to transfusion medicine). Our service encompasses donor collection, therapeutic apheresis, hematopoietic progenitor cell collection and processing, blood component processing and compatibility testing. Experience in donor collections is desirable. Attending responsibilities will be shared with three other staff physicians.
Education Requirements:
Candidates must hold a M.D. degree, be BC/BE in Transfusion Medicine, and must have or be eligible for a North Carolina medical license.
