FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise.
Campus Specific:
Teach undergraduate courses in all areas of hospitality with specific regard to: front office operations, property management systems, hospitality marketing, labor and customer service, event/meeting planning and other hospitality business related courses. Build relationships with the NYC Hospitality Industry to develop internships. Work with high schools and higher education institutions to foster student recruitment and retention. Student advisement, and participation in Departmental events is expected.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.
Campus Specific:
Minimum: Master's degree required. 10 years of current industry experience in hotel management. The ability to teach successfully to a diverse group of students. The ability to cooperate and serve with others for the good of the institution.
Preferred: Prior teaching experience in Hospitality at the college level and experience with Opera PM is beneficial.
