The Director of the Gordon Health Center will manage specific programs to include health instruction, make decisions regarding therapy and pharmaceutical treatments, diagnostic tests, and preventative health counseling. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the health center, conducting and accurate physical exams, prescribe medication, and record and report medical data. Administer or order laboratory tests, perform procedures such as injections, immunizations suturing and wound care, and infection management. Instruct patients regarding regimens and health maintenance. Additionally, the director must have the ability to effectively present health related programs to faculty, academic and campus leaders, corporate leaders, and public groups.
Must be a PA (must hold current NCCPA certification) or a physician (must hold current licensure as an allopathic or osteopathic physician in the state of North Carolina and must be certified by an ABMS or AOA-approved specialty board) Experience in a university setting is preferred.
