Job Description: The Department of Kinesiology, within the College of Health and Human Performance, at East Carolina University, seeks a faculty member at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Physical Activity Promotion. Rank will be commensurate with education and experience. A doctoral degree in physical activity promotion, physical activity epidemiology, exercise science or related field is required. The successful candidate will teach in undergraduate and graduate programs, conduct research in the area of physical activity promotion, and provide service to the university community, and profession. Seeking an externally funded research program is expected and there are substantial opportunities for collaborative research with faculty in the Activity Promotion Laboratory, as well other faculty from the College of Health and Human Performance, Brody School of Medicine, and Departments of Psychology, Public Health, and Nutrition. Screening of applicants will begin January 15, 2013 and will continue until the position has been filled. Position begins August 21, 2013.
Minimum Qualifications: A doctoral degree in physical activity promotion, physical activity epidemiology, exercise science or related field from an appropriately accredited institution is required.
