Assistant Professor of English

Averett University is accepting applications for a position as assistant professor in the Department of English. Averett is a small, private liberal arts university located in south-central Virginia and offering baccalaureate and masters-level programs. Applicants for the position should have a Ph.D. in English and should be generalists with an ability to teach a wide range of courses. A concentration in American Literature is preferred, and an ability to teach ethnic/minority literature is a plus. This is a tenure-track position with an eight-course/year load.
