Title V HSI STEM Assessment and Professional Development Manager
(Temporary Grant funded position)
The Title V Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) Assessment and Professional Development Manager plays a key role in the implementation of a U.S. Department of Education (USDE) funded, five-year grant to increase student learning and success in STEM fields of study. The STEM Success Project will be responsible for increasing the number of Hispanic and other low-income students who will attain STEM degrees by addressing academic preparation and success in STEM fields through institutional change in STEM academic, and support services.
Requirements Include:
1.) Master’s degree in a STEM discipline, education or related field
2.) Two years of teaching experience at a community college or university
3.) Strong technical skills and computer proficiency in student data systems (such as Banner), expertise with data collection, statistical analysis, and trend analysis and prior experience with statistical software such as SPSS Statistical Software
4.) Experience with curriculum revision and professional development for STEM fields
5.) Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with excellent interpersonal skills
6.) The ability to facilitate collaborative work across college divisions, departments, provides continuous courteous customer service to students, parents, and the community
7.) An understanding and familiarity with online instruction
