Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations will advance the mission of Miami University by planning, organizing and implementing strategies to secure corporate and foundation support for Miami University programs, primarily in support of divisional priorities across campus.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Development Central Programs and works collaboratively with other divisional staff members, deans, department chairs, faculty and other campus administrators to determine priority programs and funding needs and appropriate strategies for developing financial support from corporations and foundations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; minimum of one to three years of fundraising or comparable professional work experience; outstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with internal and external constituents; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; a familiarity with word processing and spreadsheets; willingness to travel on both a regional and national level. (Internships, volunteer work, and other experience gained during the completion of degree programs may be counted towards these requirements.)
