Position Summary:
The Division of Information Services is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Budget Analyst. The Budget Analyst provides analysis and control of operational and special project budgets for the Information Services Organization. Develop revenue and expense projections. Develops pricing models for services. Review and authorize budget transactions. Provide reporting on a regular basis of departmental and project expense and revenue reviews. Participate in vendor contracts contract review. Engage in department planning and policy- making. Participate in Divisional projects. Provide in coordination with the Director of divisional reporting. Oversee administrative business operations within the designated Information Services departments, which include administrative coordination, asset management, contract liaison, departmental financial operations and services. This individual will lead and mentor other individuals with the Business Operations team. To ensure that essential services are provided to the university community, the employee will be required to work outside their regular working hours as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field required. Minimum of 4 yrs of responsible administrative and financial/ accounting experience, preferably in higher education or non-profit environment. Previous experience with mentoring or leading a team a plus. Working knowledge of Banner, Excel, Access. MS Sharepoint a plus. Strong analytical skills and extreme attention to detail; accuracy of finished work is critical. Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the university.
