Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Training, the Part-Time Coordinator is responsible participant recruitment, curriculum development, and dissemination of project findings. The Coordinator provides outreach to recruit members for project work groups and committees; assists with the development and testing of the training model implementation to the identified audience, using a combination of online and face-to face training methods. The Coordinator also assists with the creation of an online community, showcasing best practices and resources for family members. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and at least one year of related experience providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
*Excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
*Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Demonstrated experience in supporting people with developmental disabilities.
*Demonstrated experience in developing person centered plans to young adults with developmental disabilities as they transition from secondary school.
*Ability to work occasional nights and weekends to prepare and attend grant functions.
*Must maintain a positive and objective customer service approach and attitude even when confronted with difficult situations.
*Ability to work nights/weekends/early mornings.
*Ability to travel within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and occasionally nationwide.
