The University invites applications for a full-time, temporary position in Sport Administration for the Spring 2013 semester to begin January 11, 2013 and end May 31, 2013.
Essential Duties: Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in a growing Sport Administration program that serves approximately 250 students.
The Sport Administration program is currently approved through NASSM and will seek accreditation through COSMA.
Teaching assignments may include but are not limited to Introduction to Sport Administration, Sport Facility Management, and Sport Governance.
This position may require development and teaching of courses online.
Specific Duties: Contribute to department and universities initiatives as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications (Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Master’s Degree in Sport Administration or closely related field.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate and perform well in an interview and teaching demonstration.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Sport Administration or closely related field.
Undergraduate teaching experience.
Sport industry work experience highly preferred.
Special Instructions for Applicants: Official transcripts are required at the time of an on-campus interview.
Candidates must complete a teaching demonstration during the on-campus interview.
The successful candidate will also have to complete a background investigation as a condition of employment.
