Position Summary
Provides learning activities and support that leads to student achievement of course objectives and contributes to the educational environment of the Lone Star College System and community. Responsibilities include learning facilitation, personal and professional development, and institutional and community service. Primary functions are to plan, develop and teach courses within the curriculum in a manner that facilitates student learning and success.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in History or American Civilization (with cross-listed courses in History), or related Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in History.
Experience using innovative strategies and technology in the classroom.
Preferred Qualifications
Concentration in American History
Salary
Starting salary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience. This is a full time position with a 9 or 10.5 month work schedule dependent upon the needs of the college. This position begins September 2013.
