This position is responsible for the leadership and direction of Level 1 (Freshman/Sophomore) and Level 2 (Junior/Senior)academic programs with duties including; scheduling, supervision of faculty and program managers; representing the Dean as requested; assisting in marketing and recruitment plan development and implementation.
This department is a key player in the College's efforts to enhance the link between the institution and the local manufacturing segment. As the administrator of that department, working with faculty and staff to re-define curriculum and programs to strengthen that relationship and expand the College's offerings in that field are tasks this person will be expected to perform.
Key position tasks also include providing high quality educational leadership, service and programs to a diverse community of learners;

Minimum Education: Master's Degree in discipline area required.
Minimum Experience/Training: Requires three years teaching experience at the postsecondary level, with a history of demonstrated leadership roles in educational settings. Excellent oral and written communication, financial management and budget design skills. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarly/creative research in higher education. In-depth knowledge of the academic discipline(s).

Demonstrate familiarity with College Policy and Procedure, SACS (or regional) Accreditation standards, State of Florida Program Review Standards, UFF/BCC Collective Bargaining Agreement, Specialized Program Accreditation and review standards, accountability and safety protocols as they apply to departmental programs and their review.
Models inclusive excellence through specific actions that support the College's diversity goals in the recruitment, hiring, and retention of talented and diverse faculty and staff.
Oversees and coordinates professional development plans, management and evaluation, and submits appropriate recommendations of personnel actions.
May manage multiple discipline/departments or multiple units within a division.
Works directly with contractual provisions, interpreting contract language and working with faculty to ensure contract provisions are met.
Develops and manages the academic, student or business department's budget(s).
Has full responsibility for multiple academic disciplines, units or departments.
Responsible for the protection and safe-keeping of confidential data acquired during the course of work.
