The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skolkovo Tech) invites nominations and applications for the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Education Program Director. The Program Director reports to the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Skolkovo Tech is a newly established private graduate research university in Skolkovo, Russia, a suburb of Moscow. Established in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2011, Skolkovo Tech will educate generations of researchers and entrepreneurs, advance scientific knowledge, and foster technological innovation to address critical issues facing Russia and the world in the new century. It is anticipated that the Program Director will assume duties as soon as possible.
Skolkovo Tech seeks to educate top graduate students both within the Russian Federation and internationally, and incubate innovative research programs targeting key challenges in science, technology, and entrepreneurship. Applying international research and educational models, the University will infuse the best Russian scientific traditions with twenty-first century entrepreneurship and innovation. Skolkovo Tech seeks both to integrate formal classroom education with foundational scientific and engineering research across disciplinary boundaries and to build partnerships within the wider industrial and entrepreneurial ecosystem generating new engines of economic growth.
The Entrepreneurship & Innovation (E&I) Education Program Director will be responsible for development, implementation and management of the E&I component of the educational program, assuring deliverables in the areas of subject and curriculum development, teaching at and involving Skolkovo Tech and external educational partners, and degree design. This will involve structuring and supporting the creation and implementation of graduate-level education programs and courses in E&I, to be offered with assistance from MIT, helping establish both separate E&I tracks within the Skolkovo Tech master's and Ph.D. programs and incorporate innovation and entrepreneurship into the science and engineering academic programs.
The successful candidate must possess a Master of Sciences, or preferably a PhD (or national equivalent) in learning and teaching, and educational design or in entrepreneurship and innovation and/or product design and realization.
