The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), part of the State University of New York and an internationally renowned college of art, design, business and technology with a strong emphasis on liberal arts, invites applications for an Admissions Office Coordinator.
Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Strategic Recruitment, the Admissions Office Coordinator provides a broad range of organizational & administrative support to the Admissions office. The position employs strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail in prioritizing & completing tasks.
Oversees all processes related to management of two office budgets. Processes payments for all expenses for on and off campus recruitment activities; establishes & maintains files for accurate record keeping and distributes event details as appropriate.
Responsible for tracking all leave time for the department and updates the admission office calendar as appropriate in a timely manner. Ensures appropriate forms are signed and processed for overtime authorization for admissions staff and other FIT employees.
Assists in delivering a high level of customer service by responding to applicant phone calls, emails and Web site inquiries during peak periods. Employs impeccable judgment and discretion in dealing with issues that pertain to sensitive data and confidentiality.
Assists the Director of Admissions and Strategic recruitment in scheduling meetings, preparation of meeting materials and making travel arrangements.
Maintains the inventory for all recruitment materials and researches and orders office equipment and supplies as appropriate.

Minimum requirements are an Associate degree or higher. Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to work in a team environment in a productive and professional manner
Knowledge of admissions processes and experience with Banner student information system is preferred.
Salary - $39,442 (89/0)
**Local/office title will be Secretary III***
