Position Summary:
The University of North Carolina Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting for an open rank, tenure track or tenured position within the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The Division’s clinical programs include high-risk obstetric care, perinatal consultation, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, genetic services, invasive fetal therapy and perinatal outreach. Division faculty members are active participants in the activities of UNC’s Center for Maternal and Infant Health (www.mombaby.org [3] ), which provides multidisciplinary care coordination for families referred for fetal malformations.
Division members actively participate in student and resident teaching and provide subspecialty training for five Maternal Fetal Medicine fellows through its ABOG-approved fellowship program. The academically-oriented Division has an outstanding record of epidemiologic research and is one of the participating institutions in the NICHD Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network (MFMU). The Department has an active BIRCWH training program and TECT fellowship (Training in Epidemiology and Clinical Trails). Biomedical and public health graduate programs offer extensive opportunities for collaboration in basic science and translational research.

Education Requirements:
Qualified individuals must have completed a 3-year ABOG approved fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and be Board Certified/Active Candidate in both OB-GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Qualification and Experience:
Candidates must have competence in maternal medicine and prenatal diagnosis. Candidates must also be committed to excellence in medical education. A current and meaningful track record of research activity is required.
