Position Summary: The MultiMedia Specialist is a Communications staff member who will become an expert in using video, still photography and other media to promote Princeton's core messages by telling compelling stories that meet office and University standards. The specialist, who reports to the Director of Web Strategy & Visual Communication, will create priority content, including a minimum of 4 video features per month, and will organize production assignments, including freelancers, as needed. This position will work at least 2 night or weekend shifts per week.

The specialist must possess good production (including camera and editing) and writing skills, must be able to enforce standards, including those related to intellectual property and accessibility, must work well independently yet be a collaborator and must have the energy and commitment to be highly productive and effective. The specialist will collaborate with other visual communicators, writers, editors, social media staff, managers and University partners.

Essential Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
-Minimum of 2 years experience working on deadline-oriented productions, preferably in a journalism and/or public relations environment. Must include video production, post-production and writing and editing.
-Minimum of 3 years, or equivalent, of still photography experience including color correction and other post production.
-Minimum of 2 years of using a system to organize scheduling/production and ability to demonstrate this knowledge.
-Must have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and comply with all University safe driving and parking procedures.
-Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Must meet requirements for lifting/handling equipment including:
-Stand or walk for 2-4 hours at one time, up to 6 hours per day.
-Sit for less than 4 hours during an 8-hour day.
-Lift or carry up to 25 pounds frequently (34-66% of the workday) and up to 50 pounds occasionally (less than 33% of the workday).
-Lift up to 50 pounds in a range of motion from floor to shoulder height.
-Push or pull with forces up to 35 pounds occasionally (less than 33% of the workday).
-Use hands for simple grasping, pushing, or pulling frequently (34-66% of the workday).
-Possess physical agility and full range of motion, and ability to maintain balance. Hold a camera and/or other relevant equipment to photograph multiple events per day
-Sit at a computer for long periods of time while conducting image searches, retouching photos and editing videos
-Distinguish colors accurately and be able to color correct photos and videos.

FINALIST WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK and PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL.
