Manager Corporate Foundations & Government Relations REPOSTED 4/25
Position Summary: The Princeton University Art Museum (PUAM) seeks applications for the position of Manager of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations. The Manager's overall responsibility will be to secure grants and other financial support from corporations, foundations, and government sources in order to help sustain the Museum's year-round schedule of exhibitions, programs, and other priority initiatives. The Manager will engage in aggressive prospect research to identify new funding sources, and will facilitate the cultivation and solicitation of new and existing institutional prospects. This position is responsible for writing and/or coordinating the writing of all grant proposals, including supplementary documents, submission, reporting, and follow-up. As the primary contact for all corporate, foundation, and government grantors current and prospective this position is responsible for constituent management and for maintaining exceptional donor relations, stewardship, and communications.
Reporting to the Museum's Associate Director for Institutional Advancement, and also working closely with the Director, the Manager of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations will help to create, implement, and manage a proactive plan focused on expanding and enhancing corporate and foundation relationships that will lead to enhanced philanthropic commitments in support of the mission and goals of the Museum. Likewise, the Manager will interact extensively with all members of the Museum staff, in particular with the 10-member curatorial team and the Museum's education department, as well as with other campus departments, including the University's Office of Research and Project Administration. S/he will manage or participate in special projects as assigned, and take the lead in coordinating and managing a selection of special cultivation events throughout the year.

Its collections feature approximately 72,000 works ranging from ancient to contemporary art, and concentrating geographically on the Mediterranean regions, Western Europe, China, the United States, and Latin America, with particular strengths in Chinese painting and calligraphy, art of the ancient Americas, and pictorial photography. Essential Qualifications: Candidates must possess outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills, and 3-5 years of experience in grant-writing, preferably in a museum or cultural organization. Applicants must be passionate about the arts and able to articulate the special role of arts in the context of a leadership research university, and should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. A bachelor's degree is required. Finalist will be required to successfully complete a background check.
