Faculty/Program Coordinator Land Management

Duties and Responsibilities Serve as instructor / assistant professor and program coordinator of the Paralegal/Land Management associate degree program at Pierpont Community and Technical College. Carry a full-time faculty load. Faculty positions are required to carry 15-credit hours per semester or equivalent load.
Program coordinator and faculty responsibilities include but are not limited to; management of budget, course scheduling and faculty staffing for the Land Management specialization in the Paralegal program, coordinate the activities of the advisory board, program assessment, curriculum development, student advising and recruiting, and various committee work, etc.
Develop specialization in Land Management with new course curriculum and programming, work directly with teaching staff for new courses, textbook adoption, scheduling, program promotion and web presence.
Continue to expand pertinent credentials and expertise through active involvement in professional organizations and faculty development opportunities. Involve adjunct staff in professional development.
Develop and manage practicum sites providing supervision of practicum students at both on-campus and off-campus sites as needed.
Minimum Required Education A Paralegal/Law degree or related specialization at associate, baccalaureate or master's degree or equivalent industry training/certification is required.

Type and Amount of Experience Needed Minimum of two (2) years of teaching/training experience required.
Management experience at some level in the land management profession is required.
Field experience with leases, land management, and right-of-way negotiation is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications A Paralegal/Law degree or related specialization at, baccalaureate or master's degree or equivalent industry training/certification.
Minimum of three (3) years of teaching/training experience.
Two (2) years of management experience at some level in the land management profession.
Field experience with leases, land management, and right-of-way negotiation.
Special Conditions This is a temporary 10-month renewable term, three-year grant funded appointment.
