Otterbein University, a comprehensive liberal arts institution in the suburban Columbus area, invites applications for a Chair and Associate/Full Professor position beginning July 2014. This is a twelve month tenure-track position with commensurate expectations for teaching, scholarship and service. The ideal candidate should have experience in fostering faculty and program development. The Chair should have demonstrated competence in managing the internal affairs of a department and in promoting the programs and department externally and forging strong relationships within the community. The right individual will be provide visionary leadership for the department. The successful candidate will value the liberal arts framework in teaching diverse, talented students as well as a global perspective of health care and community.
Qualifications: Doctorate in nursing or related field and Master of Science in Nursing; current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio or eligible for licensure; demonstrated ability in teaching in baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs; demonstrated academic leader in a nursing department or college of nursing; distinguished research and scholarly achievements; skilled in strategic planning/program development, learning outcome assessment and budgeting; experienced in grant writing and revenue acquisition for program. Experience in online and/or blended education preferred.
