Job Summary:
Responsible for the development and implementation of teaching and learning initiatives that promote best practices for traditional and online instruction; as well as designing, planning, implementing, maintaining and facilitating professional development/training for campus personnel including staff and full-time/adjunct faculty. This position works closely and collaboratively with key personnel within the campus areas of Academic Affairs, Human Resources, Finance/Operations, and Student Services providing the development and delivery of support programs, workshops, and services that help to foster a culture that supports and values active learning.
Normal work hours: Monday through Friday - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some evening hours as needed
Salary: $47,700 annually with a generous benefits package
Special instructions:
* Applicants interviewed will be asked to give a 15 minute presentation within the realm of a higher education setting on a topic of their choice
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree
* Minimum of three (3) years relevant teaching experience at the college or university level with a strong record of effective teaching and assessment, university service or other relevant administrative experience in helping to improve teaching and learning at a university or comparable institution.
* Work experience must include program evaluation and personnel/budget management in the higher education setting.
* Knowledge of principles of adult education and learning
* Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
* Ability and commitment to building strong working relationships with the campus
* Ability to work collaboratively to develop, build and maintain a high-quality professional development/training program
* Strong leadership, organizational and planning skills
* High degree of initiative and creativity
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Higher education or related field
* Must have experience in the use of student and management information systems
* Broad understanding of university functions including student services, faculty and staff roles and responsibilities
* Strong background and understanding of the use of instructional technology with specific experience implementing an e-portfolio system for students and faculty
* Knowledge of faculty/staff-defined expectations and effective student-focused practices for traditional and online instruction
