VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Position Summary:

Teach legal research, writing and professional skills, including legal ethics, in a new first year curriculum that will integrate the teaching of legal research, writing and professional skills with first year doctrinal courses, using a series of simulations. The Visiting Assistant Professor’s primary responsibility will be to teach legal research, writing and professional skills to three 12-14 student sections of first year students, providing them with significant individualized feedback. The Visiting Assistant Professor will also work with other first year faculty who are teaching the integrated curriculum to develop simulations and assignments.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a JD from an accredited institution and demonstrated capacity for teaching legal writing. Candidates with substantial experience teaching legal writing will be preferred as will candidates who have experience teaching using an experiential methodology.
