The Student Services Coordinator will provide support to COS Co-op Coordinators in several areas: preparation of students for co-op, records management and operations support. This individual will work one-one-one with first-time co-op students to answer questions about resumes, conduct mock interviews, and answer basic questions about the co-op process. He or she will assist Coordinators in running reports of students and employers, doing initial employer research, and maintaining student records. In addition, the Student Services Coordinator will have the opportunity to develop workshop-style programming for students around key skills in the co-op process, and will be asked to speak in university classes or admissions events about the benefits of cooperative education. He or she will provide temporary coverage during an extended absence of a Co-op Coordinator.
Bachelor’s degree required. 2 – 5 years experience working in career services or higher education required. High computer literacy will be required to run database reports, create and format documents, and communicate via email to students and colleagues. Strong written and verbal communications skills desired.
