Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Senior Assistant Director of Admissions will collaborate with admissions leadership to design and implement an effective national outreach and recruitment strategy for prospective freshmen students within the United States. The recruitment strategy will include: analyzing past travel data and application information; benchmarking current recruitment activities with peer institutions; proposing and implementing new recruitment initiatives; and interacting with cross-university departments to support the work of admissions. The Senior Assistant Director will supervise the admissions counselors responsible for recruitment and application file review, serving as their primary point of contact within the office leadership. As a territory manager, traditional responsibilities include: travel to attract and subsequently enroll freshman; develop and implement targeted programming efforts and activities; manage a territory throughout the admission cycle; evaluate freshman and transfer applicants for admission; counsel and advise students and families regarding the admission process; conduct interviews and presentations; and establish, develop and maintain relationships with guidance counselors and transfer advisors while marketing the University effectively. This position will work closely with other University offices and programs, as well as with appropriate off-campus agencies and services relevant to this population.
Bachelor’s degree and three to six years of direct experience in college admission, specifically with a strong background in selective, holistic application evaluation required. Experience to also include the counseling of students, and the evaluation of student credentials. Proven ability to work independently, excellent communication and presentation skills, and supervisory abilities required. Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
