Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Marketing, the Senior Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for assisting with the daily activities and initiatives within the Enrollment Marketing unit. He or she will have direct responsibility for developing and executing marketing campaigns related to Enrollment units, managing such functions as fulfillment logistics and daily activity, marketing material inventory management and internal distribution, communications support, publications project management, managing relationships with key print and production vendors, website content management support, Web 2.0 support, media research and editorial calendar research, media outreach. The Senior Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications will be the primary contact for the development and management of an extensive e-communications flow, including managing the e-mail marketing system and the operational calendar for communication to target constituencies. The Senior Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications will also be responsible for managing communication tasks on critical projects in specialty areas such as (not limited to) events, recruitment activities, programming and special population campaigns.
Bachelor’s degree required with 4-6 years of significant experience in developing marketing, advertising, communications, social media and promotional materials required. Experience in a marketing or communications field or department preferred. Strong project management and organizational skills required. Higher Education experience preferred, but not required. Candidate also should possess excellent writing and communications skills and an ability to work collaboratively while supporting multiple internal clients. The candidate must also have the ability to interpret data to support the assessment of marketing campaigns. Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to handle projects from start to finish and strong leadership skills to support the unit’s interests and goals as assigned.
