The ADVANCE Program Coordinator will create and maintain documentation of ADVANCE activities including summaries and other materials relevant for reporting. The Coordinator will identify, organize, and maintain data records for events, track attendances, and interest in programs and maintain mailing lists and will serve as the ADVANCE Website manager. Responsibilities will include supporting the PI team with research projects, managing finances, scheduling, and interacting with support offices at NU. In addition, the Program Coordinator will manage budgetary matters such as coordination of requisitions, oversight of purchasing, travel organization, travel reimbursement processes, and maintenance of records of purchase and payment.
•Bachelors’ degree and at least 1 – 2 years prior related experience.
•Track record in office support
•Computer literacy, including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, and relational database in a windows environment using IBM or compatible personal computers.
•Strong and proven organizational and oral and written communications skills
•Databases and data manipulation
•Ability to maintain and create websites through a content management system
•Ability to multi task
We are seeking an energetic, intelligent and resourceful individual with a Bachelor’s degree or higher with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and handle confidential material while being highly organized and detail oriented. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience using data base management systems are necessary. Additional favorable qualifications include and the technical skills to maintain or oversee maintenance of the website; experience with planning medium sized events; experience with institutional diversity initiatives, women’s advancement initiatives, multicultural work environments, or similar programs.
