The Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to design, modify and improve service delivery as well as develop and implement Note-taker Program policies and procedures. The person in this position will develop and coordinate initiatives in service delivery and marketing the plan. The Coordinator also is responsible to recruit, train, schedule, evaluate and supervise approximately 60+ part-time and work-study students in order to provide Federally mandated note-taking services to students who are disabled, or who are Deaf or hard of hearing; currently 75+ students. This position also processes note-taker billing and payment. The Coordinator maintains statistical data and compiles quarterly and annual reports. The individual in this position develops presentation materials and implements training sessions, workshops, and open forums for student consumers of note-taking services as well as note-takers. This Coordinator proactively informs students of deadlines for requesting services, changes in service delivery and obtaining student feedback via different formats.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or Related field.
3-5 Years experience in the coordination of services in a customer service, human service organization, or related field.
Demonstrated experience in scheduling.
Demonstrated customer service experience.
Demonstrated supervisory skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to maintain statistical records and develop reports.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work effectively in a fast paced team-oriented environment.
Preferred: Knowledge and ability to maintain good note-taking skills and strategies.
Preferred: Experience in American Sign Language (ASL)
