The School of Nursing in Bouvé College seeks a Director of Community Engagement who will be charged with leading and coordinating communication channels for existing and expanding nursing programs at Northeastern University regional campuses. This position supports the University and School of Nursing’s objectives of providing consistent high quality educational programs across all sites. The Director will represent the University and School of Nursing at the regional sites to ensure that communication channels are effective in meeting both student and faculty needs. The Director will facilitate and coordinate communication for program expansion, operations and policy development. This position will work collaboratively with the Dean, Assistant Deans and faculty to identify expansion and operation needs for successful program implementation and growth. The Director will interface with other institutions of higher learning, community partners, certification boards and other health care organizations as needed to implement and/or support the University and School of Nursing strategic plans. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Up to 25% travel may be required to facilitate communication with staff and faculty at regional campus locations.
A Master’s degree in nursing with specialization appropriate to area of responsibility, Doctoral preparation preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. A miminum of 2 years recent experience in the practice of nursing and managerial experience. High level of proficiency in use of technology in nursing education. Experience with planning and collaboration with development project.
